We have the great pleasure to inform that the Board of Directors of BCS has approved SNC “BULSAR”, a volunteer association with a non-profit purpose for search and rescue of human life at sea with its manager, Rear Adm.(OR) Kosta Andreev, as a member of the Bulgarian Chamber of Shipping.

BULSAR is a voluntary association with the ideal goal of coordinating, searching and rescuing people in distress who have survived accidents in the Bulgarian shipping area of responsibility. BULSAR members are eminent marine professionals with knowledge of maritime search and rescue as well as small vessel owners.

With the adoption of BULSAR, the Bulgarian Chamber of Shipping, whose members are now exactly 60, unites an increasingly large part of the maritime industry. This gives us the confidence to say that our Chamber is becoming an unavoidable factor in matters concerning the maritime business of Bulgaria
